Description
You’ll be making a recycled soap mold to hold your fresh 2 pound batch of soap. A video and directions will be given in the course.
You’ll learn how to make a soap recipe that you can call your very own, from the base oils you choose, to the colors, exfoliants, and scent.
If you get stuck, need more information or want to post a question or comment, you’ll find a students only conversation on the bottom of every page in the course. I’ll personally answer your questions.
There are many choices for natural colors. Some of these colors are typical and others are very unusual and creative.
You’ll be watching the unmolding and cutting of a freshly made batch of soap so you’ll know what to expect when your soap is ready to cut.

Hi! I’m Rene Whitlock,
Founder of Soap Making School and a passionate soap maker since 1997.
For over 12 years, Soap Making School has been sharing knowledge online, growing faster than I ever dreamed. My journey with soap making began with small, curious experiments, and over the years, I’ve developed and refined techniques that simplify the process while delivering exceptional results.
I’ve been teaching for more than 23 years, starting with friends and fellow soap makers, and now reaching thousands of students globally through both live and video-based courses. My curiosity drives me to constantly push the boundaries of traditional soap making, always asking, “How can we make this easier and more efficient?” If I can’t find a streamlined method, I invent one—and if it works, it becomes my go-to approach.
