My name is René Whitlock and I am a full-time soap maker and soap making teacher.
I am also a Reiki Master.
Our goal is to share everything I know and have learned since I started my soap making journey back in 1997 and this is what I wish for when I think about Soap Making School.
I want to save you from making the same mistakes I’ve made over the years and open you up to the incredible possibilities that soap making and skincare has offered me.
There is room for everyone who’s interested in this industry and I want to be able to guide you through some of the challenges you may face.
I ran a soap making school out of my Vancouver Canada downtown studio and have taught thousands of people to make soap, so I’ve watched many people fall in love with the process. Skincare and soap making is my life. Here are a few testimonials .

For four incredible years, I had the honor of being flown from Vancouver, Canada, to teach soap making at the prestigious Open Center in New York City.
It was a privilege to share my passion and knowledge with students from all over the world, right in the heart of New York.
These experiences have deeply enriched my teaching, and I’m excited to bring that same expertise to you through Soap Making School.
