This is the complete set of video classes.

All of Cold Process Soap Making, Hot Process Soap Making,
Natural Liquid Soap Making, Bath and Spa Creations Class,
and Lotions, Skin Care and Hair Potions Class.

There are about 70 videos in this class,
each will a recipe you can print out or keep on your computer.

We will begin the Complete Package Class with
Cold Process Soap Making.

Cold process is the foundation of all natural soap making.

You can make healthy natural soap that can
change your skin.

This is because all of the glycerin, which is a by-product of
soap making, is still intact.

Glycerin has a huge effect on your skins health.
It pulls moisture from the air and protects your
skin from environmental impurities.

Along with the glycerin, you will be adding high quality
ingredients into the soap, as
well as avoiding low quality skin damaging
ingredients that you find in commercial soap.

I hope you enjoy soap making as much as I do.

What other hobby can you think of that produces
a necessary product that we use several times a day?

The first thing you need to do before you begin soap making is
to become familiar with the safety information for soap making.

Please read this information before you go any further.

Once  you have become familiar with the safety and precautions of soap making, here is a list of equipment you will need.

Please note, soap making is one of the cheapest hobbies to get into.
Most of your equipment and tools can be found at discount prices,
and many can be found at second hand or thrift stores.

equipment you will need for cold process soap making

If you are interested in making a recycled soap mold, here is a detailed guideline that I have created for you.
It will fit a 2 pound batch of soap.

Please remember to use stable cardboard.  Cereal box weight cardboard is too light to hold the soap without warping.

If you would like to watch the video to make this mold,
here it is:

karma suds class recycled soap mold instructions

Let’s get started!

Here is a handy ebook I have put together for you.
It illustrates the process of cold process soap making step by step.

You can keep this on your computer or print out a copy to have on hand.

cold process soap making book - karma suds

It’s time to watch the video for cold process soap making.

The first soap we will be making is Indigo Blue Soap.

Indigo herb comes from India and is fermented in water to release the indigo powder.
This is a very old traditional process and is still happening the same today.

True indigo powder can be hard to find because the market
has been flooded with cheap artificial indigo colorants.

The real stuff can be a bit expensive.

If you can’t find real indigo, you can use cocoa powder,
paprika or even ground cinnamon in place of indigo powder.

The color will obviously be different, but you will still get a wonderful cold process soap.

I don’t recommend you use chili pepper or cayenne
for a color.  The spicy heat can cause irritation.

We will also be using gold mineral mica in this soap.  You can use ground ginger if you like.

To learn more about natural colors in soap making, check out my blog post here.

Okay, on to the video!

Here is the recipe for the video you just watched:

You will need to let the soap go through the saponification process overnight.

I know it’s tempting to check in on it, but you need to leave it alone.

If it is going through a critical stage and you disturb it,
you might end up with a messed up batch of soap.

Put the soap away where it will not be touched.

A linen closet works well.  Be sure to keep the soap at room temperature.

Though you have insulated the soap well, you still need to help it along by keeping it out of the cold.

Here is the video showing what to expect after you have left your soap overnight:

Once you have cut your soap, you can package it.

Here are a few ideas to get your creativity flowing:

The next cold process soap we will make is Quebracho Rosemary Mint Soap.

For this soap we use Quebracho which comes from a native tree in South America.
You can substitute this for Cocoa or Paprika (or a blend of the two to make a dark orange).

We will also be adding Myrobalan which are ground nuts from
a native tree in Nepal.  You can also use turmeric for this color.

For this recipe we will be adding essential oil for scent.
Rosemary and Peppermint are two essential oils
that survive the saponification process.
Another is Lavender.

Here is the video:

This is the recipe for Quebracho Rosemary Mint Soap:

Once you have allowed the Quebracho Soap to sit overnight undisturbed, you are ready to cut it.

Here is the video:

Now that you have seen how Cold Process Soap is made,
it’s time to begin Hot Process Soap Making.

Hot Process Soap Making is one of the
best ways to take advantage of the delicate
essential oils that can’t survive
Cold Process Soap Making

The reason for this is because in Hot Process Soap Making,
the chemical reaction (saponification) has already happened
before we add the essential oils.

During saponification, the soap temperature rises
during the chemical reaction and many
delicate essentail oils such as citrus
cook out and you are left with no scent.

Another benefit to Hot Process Soap Making is that the
colors you use stay true.
All the natural herb are still the same color
as when you started.

You also get to use your soap
quicker than Cold Process.

When the soap cools, it hardens and can be cut
even on the same day as it was made.

You can escalate the cooling
process by putting your soap in the refrigerator
or freezer.

It is best to leave your soap to solidify
for a few days after you unmold it though.

Here is a list of equipment you will need for Hot Process Soap Making
and Natural Liquid Soap Making.

It is a little bit different than Cold Process.

Let’s get started!

Here is a handy ebook I have put together for you.
It illustrates the technique of hot process soap making step by step.

You can keep this on your computer or print out a copy to have on hand.

It’s time to watch the video for hot process soap making.

The first soap we will be making is Lime Soap.

Citrus Essential Oils tend to cook out of Cold Process Soap,
but they are a perfect choice for hot process soap making because
by the time you add the citrus oil (in our case Lime Essential Oil),
the soap will have already gone through the saponification process (when oil, water and alkali turn ito soap).

For the color of this soap, I will be using powdered Lime Leaves.

Okay, on to the video!

Here is the recipe for the video you just watched:

One of the best things about Hot Process soap making is that as soon as the
soap batch cools, it also hardens.

You can speed up the process by putting your soap mold in the fridge.

Here is the video showing what to expect after your soap has cooled,
hardened and is ready to un-mold:

The next hot process soap we will make is Chocolate and Silk Soap.

We will be melting silk fibers in the Sodium Hydroxide
and water mixture.  This way we will be able
to add this luxurious ingredient to our soap.

This step is completely optional though.
If you prefer not to add the silk, just skip that step.

Here is the video:

This is the recipe for the Chocolate and Silk Soap:

Once you have allowed the Chocolate and Silk Soap to cool and harden, you are ready to cut it.

Here is the video:

It’s now time to get into making your own recipes.
Once you start, you will be coming up with a bunch
of new oil combinations.

You will soon discover your favorite combinations

Here is the video to get you on your way:

Here is the handy guide to keep with you as you
create your new recipes:

Once in awhile, you will be making a batch of soap and become
distracted, or maybe you will forget to reset your
scale when you add another oil to the pot.

Whatever the situation, there may come a time when your
soap batch just didn’t turn out.

That’s okay.  This video will help you use up that
messed up batch of soap that
you thought was a gonner.

Here is the recipe that you will be using to fix that messed up batch:

Chunk Soap is a very handy way to use up your scraps of soap from another batch.

The look can be very attractive.  The scent can be a really nice
combination too.

Here is the video to show you the method:

Here is the recipe to make the Chunk Soap:

This next soap is one of my very favorite soaps.

Organic Rooibos Tea Soap.

Rooibos tea is loaded with vitamin C and it makes
a wonderful colored soap too.

Here is the video showing you how to make it:

Here is the recipe for Organic Rooibos Tea Soap.
The extra whole rooibos tea for exfolliation is optional.

Now that you have a good grasp on Cold Process and Hot Process Soap Making,

let’s make Natural Liquid Soap

This method of liquid soap making is very traditional
and natural.

We are  bombarded with so many chemical in our liquid soap and detergents
that we don’t even realize how harmful they are.

This is true liquid soap making and it will not
dry your skin like detergent chemicals.

Liquid soap making is similar to hot process soap making to a point.

There are a few differences such as the alkali we will be using.

For liquid soap, we use Potassium Hydroxide instead of
Sodium Hydroxide.

You will be learning to make 5 different Liquid soaps.

Coconut, Olive, Soy, Almond, and Hemp Seed.

They each have different characteristics
and they all are slightly different to make.

Once you start to use natural liquid soap,
you will notice how it fits right into your
routine.  Never having to purchase harsh
chemical cleaners, never having to worry about the environmental
damage you are causing.

Natural Liquid Soap
is both environmentally friendly
gentle on your skin.

Let’s get started!

Here is a handy ebook I have put together for you.
It illustrates the technique of natural liquid soap making step by step.

You can keep this on your computer or print out a copy to have on hand.

It’s time to watch the video for liquid soap making.

The first soap we will be making is Coconut liquid Soap.

Coconut oil soap makes a very bubbly, cleansing soap.
It lathers up big and it can be mixed with other liquid soaps
to boost the bubbles.

Okay, on to the video!

Here is the recipe for the video you just watched:

Once the Coconut liquid soap has sat for a few days,

the soap will start to become clear.

Here is the Coconut Liquid soap after a few days:

The next liquid soap we will make is Olive Liquid Soap.

This is also known as Castile liquid soap

It is the most popular type of liquid soap on the market,
and it’s usually thickened with borax or chemicals.
I have chosen not to thicken mine because I like it to be as natural
as possible.

Here is the video:

This is the recipe for the Olive Oil Liquid Soap:

Once you have allowed the Olive Oil Liquid Soap to sit for a day, it’s time to take a look at it.

Here is the video:

The next liquid soap we will be making is Soy.

I like soy liquid soap because it has a lot of the same
characteristics of Olive Liquid soap, but it produces more bubbles.

It’s also cheaper to make than olive, so it’s a good choice for
all purpose cleaners.

It also works well in shampoos.

Here is the video:

This is the recipe for Soy Liquid Soap:

Almond Oil Liquid Soap
is very soft and soothing.  It’s
a great addition to hand soap and
face cleansers.

This is a more expensive soap to make, but it’s
worth it.

Here is the recipe for Almond Liquid Soap:

Hemp Seed Oil Liquid Soap is a
very special soap.  It keeps the hemp scent and creates a
nice soft lather.  I love this soap for shampoos and face washes.

Here is the recipe for hemp seed oil soap:

This recipe uses liquid soap to create a nice lather.

The Mocha scent of this all natural formula is rich
and invigorating.  The cocoa and vanilla scent is so rich.

Coffee makes a wonderful exfolliant.

Here is the recipe for Mocha Bubble Body Sugar:

This Laundry Liquid will save you money and save the environment at the same time.
It does a great job of cleaning your clothes and is completely
biodegradable.

Here is the recipe for the laundry soap:

This is a nice thick hand soap filled with chamomile
benefits.  You can change this to Lavender or any
scent you like.

This soap needs to sit for about a week after it’s made so it can settle
into a natural gel.

Here is the recipe for this soap:

Cleansers without Sodium Laureth Sulphate
and other detergents are hard to find.

This facial cleansers does the job without
harmful chemicals

Here is the recipe for This Natural Facial Cleanser

Scrubbing bubbles can be used in so many
ways.  You can use this formula on
stubborn pots, bathroom grime,
kitchen surfaces and sinks.

I use this formula often
This is a cleaner you can feel good about because it’s natural and
will not harm you or your pets.

Here is the recipe for Scrubbing Bubbles

This is a great shampoo for
your family and your pets.

It does not contain detergents like other
shampoos and it cleans your hair
like no other.

It’s mild and gentle enough to use daily.

Here is the recipe for this Natural Shampoo:

Here is your Bonus:

Glycerin soap is a unique type of soap making.

Usually the soap base is purchased, and the creator just melts it down and
pours it into a mold.

We can do that too by making our own Melt and Pour Soap Base.

Once it is made, it should sit for a few weeks and dry.

Here is the video for making your own melt and pour soap base:

Here is the recipe for your Melt and Pour Soap Base:

Once you have allowed the melt and pour base to sit and dry for awhile,  You can create
very creative soaps with the base.

Here is a video to get you started:

Cream soap can be really fussy to make. You need to balance the Sodium
Hydroxide and Potassium Hydroxide with the oil and the water to give you the
right consitency.
This is a quicker and easier way to make cream soap. Plus you get to use those
soap scraps that keep piling up.
I hope you experiment with this soap and try different herbal infusions instead
of water.
If you want a stiffer soap than the one in the video, reduce the amount of water
in the recipe. A pretty stiff soap would need about ½ the amount of water that
is in the recipe.
Do not increase or decrease the Stearic Acid amount. Only change the water
amount.

Now that we have covered the Soap Making Section
of the Complete Package,
we will move on to Bath and Skin Care.

The recipes you are about to learn
are all retail quality, natural and
proven sellers in the market.

I encourage you to take these recipes and make them your own.

By changing the oils and the scents,
you will create something that is unique to you.

Let’s begin by learning how to make a successful
bath bomb.

One of the simplest looking spa products
to make is the bath bomb.

Unfortunately, many crafters can’t get it right.

Here is a video showing you what can go wrong:

There is a really simple way to make sure that
your bath bomb turns out.

It’s all in the texture.
Here is the video that shows you
just what your bath bomb should
look like:

This is the recipe for bath bombs:

You can always save the bath bomb that didn’t turn out.
There is always something else you can turn that
bombed bomb into.

Here is one option.

You can get as creative as you like with this
product.

Because you add exotic sea salts to your Bath Bomb,
you create a brand new product.

Here is the recipe for Bolivian Mountain Bath Buzz:

Bath Tea is a wonderful addition to
your spa package goodies.

It’s relaxing and great for your skin.

We will be making 3 different blends.

Let’s start by making organza tea bags for these
special bath teas.
This is completely optional, you can also use the press close bath tea bags
that are available from tea shops.

Now that we have a very attractive
place to put our Bath Tea, lets begin with the
first blend.

Lavender Mint Bath Tea is a classic blend.

The twist is the added essential oil scents that bring out
the best in this tea.

Here is the video:

The next bath tea we will be making is
Green Tea and Roses Bath Tea

This is a wonderful scented Bath Tea

That has many healing properties.

Here is the video:

bath tea that leaves you scented with
Ylang Ylang.

There are 7 Major Chakras in your body
These are energy points that are the focus for
natural healing practices such as Accupressure, Reiki and  Accupuncture.

Being a Reiki Master, I spend a lot of time balancing
Chakras in the body.

Chakra Salt is a great way to put those Major Chakras
back into balance.

it a perfect addition for a body scrub. The small seeds of the Goji berries are
great for exfoliation.

This is my favorite Body Sugar. It smells delicious and it’s good enough to eat.
This recipe contains Virgin Coconut Oil. The difference between Virgin Coconut
and regular coconut is that the oil comes from the milk of the coconut and not
the meat part. The scent of the coconut is intact and this oil has incredible
moisturizing benefits.

Here is the video for Coconut Lime Body Sugar:

These recipes are just the very beginning of Mineral makeup.
There are no preservatives and no chemicals added to these recipes.
Most of the mineral makeup on the market today starts off as a natural product,
then to enhance the product, sometimes chemicals are added. We will be
duplicating what these added chemicals are contributing to the product, but we will
be using the natural alternative.

Here is the video for Natural Eye Shadow:

Here is the recipe for Natural Eye Shadow:

We will start by making a base for both the eyeliner and lip liner. There is quite
a bit of base in this recipe. So once it is made, you can store it and keep it
handy for when you want to make another color.

Aura mist is so simple to make and you don’t have to worry about spraying
chemical filled fragrance oil on your skin.
By using skin safe essential oils, you reap the benefits that these oils offer in
both aromatherapy and skin care. It is not easy to find real aromatherapy
essential oil sprays, especially when the term aromatherapy is allowed to be
used so loosely.

You can make any type of herbal extract you want.
You don’t have to purchase them.  This way you know what is in them.

Most of the candles on the market are
filled with harmful fragrance oils.

There are 3 different lip balm recipes that I like to use

and we will start by making a vegan lip balm.

This lip balm is made with Carnauba wax which is

vegetable based.

Though bees wax is a very popular wax to use in

lip balm, it is not a vegan product since

it comes from bees.

This is a wonderful alternative.

Here is the video for Vegan Lip Balm:

The next lip balm is one of my favorites.

It smells great and is all natural.
You can replace the lime with orange or any other
citrus essential oil.

Please note.  You can only use pure essential oil for this recipe.
Using fragrance oil is not the same.  I discourage
the use of imitation fragrance oils in everything you make.
Fragrance oils cause harm to your body and the environment.

There are no real regulations that control what the manufacturer
puts into the fragrance oil, therefore you can’t be sure what you are putting on your skin.

Chocolate lip balm is a perfect
